So, here's why this was set up: I got so tired and confused with keeping up with calendar math, new CCSS, testing information, and everything the students needed for MAP (NWEA RIT Bands). So, I created this file. It incorporates EVERYTHING into one file/review each day. It incorporates spiral review and challenge activities. After using this in my classroom with incredible results for 3 years, I finally took the advise of my colleagues and decided to sell my work. :)
For the 2014-2015 School Year:
This file can be used in a number of different ways. It can be used as morning work, a math station, or other independent work. It can be used as group work as well.
“Prezi’s” accompanying this file:
A Prezi has been made for each day which will accompany you in going over the problems, gives links to websites for the file, and places youtube videos (such as the polygon song) on the slide show for you.
The links to these prezi's are found at the beginning of the file.
I have had the students work in groups on whiteboards with the prezi and then given this file as a quiz or independent work. Use it however you like. :)
This October file includes 22 days and 134 pages including:
-4 digit addition and subtraction
--Multiplication with and without regrouping
-Multiples of 0,5,10, and 3
-Challenging problems from NWEA RIT Bands (181-190)
-TIME: Quarter after, half past, quarter till
-MONEY: Equivalent amounts, word problems
-Measure to the nearest cm/mm Compare cm and inches
-Class and student unit fraction strips (1 whole, ½, ¼, 1/8, 1/16)
- Making your own cm ruler
-Class cm/meter ruler
- 3 Quizzes (1 cumulative)
All 180 days of the school year will eventually be placed in my store. Our first day of school this year is August 19th, so the file reflects that although I did not put dates, I put the number of days at the top instead in case your school year is different :) Let me know if you would like me to "tweak" anything for you
