We are urged to inform students of the standards. To have the standards posted in our rooms, on our lesson plans, and even in student work/notebooks. Did the kids understand what the standards are? Or what they mean? This product gives students a chance to break down each standard through images.
How to use: Give students the images and have them write (in pencil) what they think the words would be to match the pictures. Then go over what they actual words are. Have students write the correct words under (or above) the pictures.
Extension: Give the students sticky notes for words which may be tricky (recognize, identify, understand, etc.). Have them write the word from the standard on top of the sticky note and the kid-friendly word underneath it.
