Third Grade Common Core Writing Bundle
This bundle of quality writing resources provides teachers with a solid foundation for successfully implementing a Common Core writing program! Bundle includes three highly rated, classroom-tested writing resources, including the following:
Common Core Writing Assessment Kit for Third Grade
This assessment kit provides teachers with a framework for tracking data and student progress as you implement a Common Core writing program in your classroom. Kit includes pre- and post-assessment writing prompts with rubrics (both teacher and student versions) for each of the writing types called for under Common Core. Kit also includes data tracking sheets for both individual students and your entire class to monitor progress and keep data for administration. Kit helps teachers show growth and implementation of CCSS for writing. Excellent data for writing program reviews, as well.
Edit & Revise Workshop for Elementary Writers
A comprehensive, teacher-friendly workshop kit for teaching students "focused revision" of writing pieces. Students edit & revise their writing pieces one element at a time in a center-based workshop format. At each station, students focus on one writing element (e.g. punctuation, topic sentences, details, etc.) as a scaffolded approach to editing and revising entire pieces. Workshop includes stations specific to the writing types called for under Common Core (opinion, narrative, informative) as well as stations for general writing conventions/elements.
Wall-Sized Writing Rubric for Elementary Writers
Teach your elementary writers to self-assess their work using this wall-sized writing rubric! Simple, 3-point rubric with student-friendly examples make assessing work simple for young writers. Rubric is the perfect size for a bulletin board or blank spot on your wall. Leaving the rubric up year-round will give you the opportunity to refer to it daily during instruction, writing workshop and conferences.
