There are nine different THIRD GRADE DIVISION MATH CENTERS included in this product!
There are also five different choice boards included so you can easily integrate the division stations into your math block.
Third graders will love using these math centers to practice their division skills! These centers align with the standard 3.OA.2.
The nine division centers included are:
Students complete a worksheet by themselves to show their knowledge of division equations.
Students work with a partner (cooperative learning strategies encouraged!) to solve the division worksheet together.
-Five Error Analysis Writing Prompts
Students analyze what five students did wrong when solving division equations and write about what they know. The division error analysis prompts include repeated subtraction, using multiplication to solve division equations (with fact families), skip counting, and using equal groups.
-Task Card Game
Students answer each division task card. If the answer is correct, the student rolls two dice and records their score. With each turn the student takes, they earn more points. The student who has the most points at the end of the game wins!
-Race to Match Game
Students race each other or the clock to match up division facts to the answers as quickly as possible. A recording sheet has been included as well to allow for self-reflection.
-Line Them Up (Team Game)
Students race in partners of in teams to beat the other team. The students have to line up the division equations in the correct order in order to get to the finish card. Each team has the same cards, but the cards are in a DIFFERENT order. This game is a class favorite!
-Division Math Sort (Cut and Glue Activity)
Students cut out the division math sort equations and glue them in the proper place on the math sort page. Students can complete this independently or with a partner in a math center. Answer key provided for self-check.
Division Tic-Tac-Toe (10 boards included)
Students solve each tic-tac-toe board by playing with a partner. The first board includes division facts that are divisible by one, the second board includes division facts divisible by 2, and each board progresses through each of the factors all the way to ten. Differentiate and choose the board that is appropriate for each pair of your students or put them all in a math center!
-Division Pumpkin Puzzles (set of 12)
Students put together 12 acorn puzzles that show a division equation and an answer when the puzzle is completed.
The great part about these math centers is that they are easy to implement in your classroom. The centers can be used with the choice boards included or without the choice boards! Simply implement the math centers into your classroom however they work best for you!
Each of the games or worksheets can easily be completed independently, with partners, with groups, or in a whole group setting.
