Save over 20% on the bundle! This bundle contains each of my third grade math assessments posted in my store. There are 2 assessments for every math SOL. Below is a description of each set of assessments:

Place Value Assessments:

This packet contains 8 assessments that are aligned with Virginia math SOL 3.1. Each assessment contains 10 questions. There are 2 assessments (a blue and a red) for each of the following topics:

Reading and Writing 6 Digit Numbers
Place and Value (up to 6 digit numbers)
Rounding 4 Digit Numbers
Comparing 4 Digit Numbers

Assessment items are modeled from released third grade SOL math tests. TEI type questions are also included:

Inverse Relationships and Properties:
This packet contains 6 assessments that are aligned with Virginia math SOLs 3.2 and 3.20. Each assessment contains 10 questions that are modeled after released test questions. There are 2 assessments for the following SOLs: 3.2 addition and subtraction inverse relationships, 3.2 multiplication and division inverse relationships and 3.20: Commutative and Identity properties of multiplication and addition and equalities. Students will be assessed on the following concepts:

SOL 3.2: Addition and Subtraction Inverse Relationships
TEI (technology enhanced items) type questions: 2 fill in the blanks, 1 hot spot

SOL 3.2: Multiplication and Division Inverse Relationships
TEI type question: 2 fill in the blanks, 1 hot spot

SOL 3.20: Commutative and Identity Properties of Addition and Multiplication and Equalities

Fraction Assessments:
This packet contains 6 assessments that are aligned with Virginia math SOLs 3.3 and 3.7. Each assessment contains 10 questions that are modeled from released test questions. Two assessments are included for the following standards:

SOL 3.3ab: students will name, write and model fractions, improper fractions and mixed numbers
(3 fill in the blank responses on each assessment)

SOL 3.3c: students will compare fractions having like and unlike denominators
(1 hot spot on each assessment)

SOL 3.7: Students will add and subtract proper fractions having like denominators
(1 fill in the blank)

TEI type questions are included on each assessment as described above.
Students work with fractions of a region, set and on a number line.

This packet contains 2 assessments that are aligned with Virginia math SOL 3.4. Each assessment contains 10 questions that are modeled after released test questions. Students will be assessed on the following concepts:

Estimate solutions to and solve single-step and multistep problems involving the sum or difference of two whole numbers, each 9,999 or less, with or without regrouping.

The following TEI type questions are included: 2 fill in the blanks

Multiplication and Division Assessments:
This packet contains 4 assessments that are aligned with Virginia math SOLs 3.5 and 3.6. Each assessment contains 10 questions that are modeled from released test questions. The following concepts are assessed:

SOL 3.5:
Recall multiplication facts through the twelves table, and the corresponding division facts.
TEI (technology enhanced items) included: 1 hot spot, 1 fill in the blank, 1 drag and drop

SOL 3.6:
1) Represent multiplication and division, using area, set, and number line models, and 2) multiply two whole numbers, one factor 99 or less and the second factor 5 or less.
TEI included: 1 hot spot (more than 1 answer), 1 fill in the blank

Money Assessments:
This packet contains 2 assessments that are aligned with Virginia math SOL 3.8. Each assessment contains 10 questions that are modeled from released test questions. The following concepts are assessed:

1) determine the value of a collection of bills and coins whose total value is \$5.00 or less
2) compare the value of bills and coins
3) make change from \$5 or less.
Two questions are modeled after TEI (technology enhanced items) questions: 1 fill in the blank and 1 hot spot (students have to select more than 1 correct answer)

Measurement Assessments:
This packet contains 4 assessments that are aligned with Virginia math SOLs 3.9 and 3.10. Each assessment contains 10 questions that are modeled from released test questions. The following concepts are assessed:

SOL 3.9:
1) measure to the nearest inch and 1/2 inch
2) estimate length in inches, feet, yards, centimeters, and meters;
3) estimate liquid volume in cups, pints, quarts, gallons, and liters;
4) estimate weight/mass in ounces, pounds, grams, and kilograms; and

TEI (technology enhanced items) included: 1 fill in the blank

SOL 3.10:
a) measure the distance around a polygon in order to determine perimeter; and
b) count the number of square units needed to cover a given surface in order to determine area.
TEI included: 1 hot spot (more than 1 answer), 2 fill in the blanks

Time Assessments:
This packet contains 6 assessments that are aligned with Virginia math SOLs 3.11 and 3.12. Each assessment contains 10 questions that are modeled after released test questions. There are 2 assessments for the following SOLs: 3.11a, 3.11b and 3.12. Students will be assessed on the following concepts:

SOL 3.11a: tell time to the nearest minute
TEI (technology enhanced items) type questions: 1 hot spot, 1 fill in the blank

SOL 3.11b: determine elapsed time in one hour increments over a 12 hour period
TEI type question: 1 fill in the blank

SOL 3.12: identify equivalent periods of time, including relationships among days, months, and years, as well as minutes and hours.
TEI type questions: 1 drag and drop, 1 fill in the blank, 1 hot spot

This packet contains 2 assessments that are aligned with Virginia math SOL 3.13. Each assessment contains 10 questions that are modeled after released test questions. Students will be assessed on the following concepts:

SOL 3.13: read temperature to the nearest degree from a Celsius thermometer and a Fahrenheit thermometer.

The following TEI type questions are included: 2 fill in the blanks, 1 drag and drop

Geometry Assessments:
This packet contains 6 assessments that are aligned with Virginia math SOLs 3.14, 3.15 and 3.16. Each assessment contains 10 questions that are modeled after released test questions. There are 2 assessments for each of the 3 SOLs. Students will be assessed on the following concepts:

SOL 3.14: identify and describe circles, squares, rectangles, triangles, cubes, rectangular prisms, square pyramids, spheres, cones and cylinders by identifying the number of angles, vertices, and edges, and the number and shape of faces.

TEI (technology enhanced items) questions included: 1 fill in the blank, 2 hot spots

SOL 3.15: identify and draw representations of points, line segments, rays, angles, and lines.
TEI questions included: 1 drag and drop, 1 fill in the blank, 1 hot spot

SOL 3.16: identify and describe congruent and noncongruent plane figures
TEI questions: 1 fill in the blank, 2 hot spots

Graphing Assessments:
This packet contains 2 assessments that are aligned with Virginia math SOL 3.17. Each assessment contains 10 questions that are modeled after released test questions. Students will analyze pictographs, bar graphs and line plots. They will create a bar graph and a line plot.

TEI (technology enhanced items) are included on this assessment: 1 drag and drop and 2 graph creations.

Probability Assessments:
This packet contains 2 assessments that are aligned with Virginia math SOL 3.18. Each assessment contains 10 questions that are modeled from released test questions. The following concepts are assessed:
1) List possible outcomes for a given situation
2) Identify the degree of likelihood of an outcome occurring using certain, likely, impossible, unlikely, as likely as and equally likely.

Two fill in the blank questions are included on each assessment, modeled after TEI (technology enhanced item) fill in the blanks.

Pattern Assessments:
This packet contains 2 assessments that are aligned with Virginia math SOL 3.19. Each assessment contains 10 questions that are modeled after released test questions. Students will be assessed on the following concepts:

Recognize and describe a variety of patterns formed using numbers, tables, and pictures, and extend the patterns, using the same or different forms.
