These math cards can be used in multiple ways. Print, laminate, and cut apart, and you have an instant math center. Or hang them in different places around the room for students to find and solve.
This activity is great for early finishers, or for the whole class. Students can work with partners during “Math Around the Room,” or it can be a silent and independent activity. You might hang the cards at the beginning of the week, and allow students to “search and solve” when they finish other math work.
Students record their answers on the picture-coded answer sheets, which are included. Also in this pack: an answer key, for quick checking!
There are four different versions of math cards, covering January themes: Happy New Year, Martin Luther King, Jr., and two different snowy day sets. Concepts covered: writing and solving multiplication problems from arrays, three-digit subtraction with regrouping, multiplication facts, and number patterns and word problem-solving.
