These math journal activities that will help you spiral through concepts that you have taught during your math block. These activities give your students the opportunity to apply their knowledge of key mathematical concepts.
Students keep a math journal. They apply what they have learned in an independent rotation. These activities help students stay fresh on previously learned concepts while also applying new understanding to older concepts with added layers of difficulty through the year.
These activities can be done by students independently during math stations, or you can do this whole group in more of a teaching format. If your math block has small group, some of these would make great small group lessons for students that need more practice or more visuals with a concept.
