Here is a study guide and test to use after a unit over the thirteen colonies. They will have be able to compare and contrast the New England, Middle, and Southern colonies, specific settlements (Jamestown and Roanoke), key components and leaders of each colony, and important people and tribes, triangular slave trade, primary and secondary sources, and exact location of each colony.
Study guide is set up to where they will have to use their notes and textbooks (eStudies newspapers) to fill in the study guide. Then, I give them the correct answers the day before test.
Test consists of matching definitions, colonial region sort, true and false (have to change false sentences to true), determining primary or secondary, fill in the blank, and labeling (triangular slave trade map and 13 colonies map).
