If you're teaching the novel "Thirteen Reasons Why" by Jay Asher, you'll want to use this power point presentation. The power point presentation contains the following for each chapter:
- pictures that represent that chapter. Examples include the referenced places from Hannah's map, pictures of a rocket ship playground set, a hot tub, etc. The pictures work great for pre-reading.
- journal topics (some, but not all taken from my Thirteen Reasons Why Study Guide, also found in my TPT store) with visuals. The number of journal topics varies by chapter, but contains anywhere from 1-8 journals. Each journal topic uses a quotation from the novel as a starting point for student reflection. Journal topics were intentionally designed to be used throughout the entire novel - for example, a journal topic using a quotation from chapter 1 could easily be used during the final chapter.
