Give your students a bell ringer activity they will enjoy. Your students will look forward to the beginning of class each and every day with these journal prompts based upon historical events. Not only will your students receive a prompt based on "This Day in History," but they will learn more about the topic via a video link. The video links are optional, but with most videos ranging from 1-3 minutes, I am confident you will want to extend the learning. For your convenience, I have rounded the running time of the videos to the nearest minute, so you can determine if you will be able to incorporate the video into your lesson that day. Some of the topics to explore in October are Luther's 95 Thesis, Superman dies, John Glenn Returns to Space at Age 77, "War of the World" Radio Broadcast spreads panic, the NYC Subway Opens for the First Time, First Baboon-to-Human Heart Transplant, Vietnam War Pentagon Protest, and more.
What is included in this product:
*This in History PowerPoint slide for each day of the month of October with a link to a video students may view.
*Simple Scoring Rubric (optional)
