Product Description
On the first day of school, we often go through many procedures and must of course define the rules for the class. As we know, it is very important to set the tone and discipline structure during the first week of school, so that it makes it easier for learning throughout the year. This lesson plan helps to explain the rules of what to do and what not to do in the classroom.

In this lesson plan students will be actively engaged in acting out six different scenarios in the classroom. Scenario cards are attached with student directions in this guide. These scenario topics include:
1. Messiness
2. Tardiness
3. Being Lazy
4. Blurting Out
5. Distracting Others
6. Hurting Others Feelings by saying something is "So Easy"

I feel that this activity really helps to make students more involved in planning the rules and setting the tone for the classroom.

Enjoy and have a successful new school year!
