This is a set of emergent reader books all about things October...........it includes a teacher lap book that talks about important dates and other fun stuff that happens during the month of October. It also includes five little readers with matching colored teacher lap books. These emergent readers were designed with the Pre-K, Transitional Kindergarten, and Kindergarten Student in mind. These readers will assist you as you work with your students to build book handling skills, knowledge, and vocabulary. These very basic readers will go along very well with your adopted text. These readers can be used for guided reading, to support ELD, or as an independent center after students have been introduced and are comfortable with the text. I have used these books for guided reading, familiar reading book boxes, and as take-home books. I will be adding a new set every month.
Included in this set:
** 5 Sets of Black and white student book copies and matching teacher lap books
Students can benefit from reading sight word emergent readers by tracking one to one, identifying spaces between words, putting together letters and sounds to make words, reading sight words in context, and reading appropriate grade level text. The black and white clip art pictures support meaning and also provides opportunities to color the pictures.
