I started this series for my high school US History class, which includes both ELL students and regular students, because I was frustrated with the random approach we usually take towards explaining the causes of the Civil War. Each unit takes around 90 minutes. I send the PDF to their Amplify tablets, but it is possible to print these out, although they are lengthy. The questions are easy and keep students focused and engaged. It makes for a relaxing period of teaching for the instructor, who can focus on facilitating and not controlling the class.
