This reproducible graphic organizer works great as a daily assessment during independent reading. Teachers are able to monitor how much studennts are reading and what kinds of things they are thinking about while they are reading. It offers a snapshot into the minds of your students.
Students can write down some of the things they are thinking, wondering, or questioning as they are reading. They can share their thinking with a partner, in a small group, or with the whole class at the end of reading workshop each day. It is often used as a weekly assignment to monitor students’ ability to think critically while reading.
