This social story introduces the concept of thought bubbles and then the social filter. Multiple examples are show of how a social filter works in a typical social situation, with both the mean words staying inside the brain and the nice words coming out. We use perspective taking by showing the thought bubbles of peers when the social filter is not used. Next your taken through two paths, the expected behaviors and unexpected behaviors with (or without!) the social filter. This product includes two independent activities to check for comprehension and a fun group activity. Great for kids with social cognitive deficits or on the autism spectrum.
