Thought Classification Colors will help you with teaching children to classify their thoughts as to whether they are appropriate to share with others, only share with certain people, and not to share with anyone. There are a few left open for your determination as to what thoughts you want to focus on with children.
The rectangular shapes help older children learn how to classify their thoughts while coupling their use with the writing sheets. These sheets help children determine and write the correct types of thoughts for each color sheet. This provides a learning tool for children while also helping teachers and therapists know if the child is learning thought categories appropriately.
The stoplights serve as a quick visual to use with either older or younger children in order to remind them of their thought classifications being either green - appropriate to share with others, yellow - appropriate to share with some people, and red - not appropriate to share with anyone. These can be used as a whole class visual tool or for each child’s desk top visual.
This tool can be used in therapy, in the classroom (great for social skills groups), at a homeschool and even simply just for parents at home! Enjoy!
