Here's a fantastic introduction to the repeat sign. Thought Repeat is a dark and brooding piece; a welcome change from the happy pieces of music that students have been attempting till now.
Research shows that students learn better when exposed to a wider repertoire of music.
Thought Repeat has been inspired from the Hitchcock classics of yore. It's suspenseful, quick, light and dangerous.

The DeskBells have the right timbre for this piece, but in order to achieve true staccato the BoomWhackers work better. I also use this piece to introduce students to staccato and legato and the difference between both. You can ask your students to perform the piece both ways and decide which fits the sombre mood the best.
