Thought Spots are a great tool for reading teachers in the upper elementary grade levels.
4 nights a week students keep track of the pages read in their book and they respond to the given prompt.
Each prompt is worth 8 points, totaling 32 at the end of the week. Thought Spots should be graded on grammar, content, text evidence, etc...
Each week prompts can be changed to reflect the reading strategies that are being taught and implemented.
