Product Description
This set of 24 task cards will strengthen your students’ skills in
strategically adding three numbers with sums of 20 or less. Because of the addend combinations given, your students will always be able to start with a sum of ten and then add the third number.

Choosing from four numbers on each card, your students will determine the secret number by eliminating three of the options. With each card they complete, your students will solve three addition number models – that’s 72 in all!

A student recording page, answer key, board game, and 120 chart for extra support are also included.

This resource is appropriate for use by first graders, second graders, or any student that needs extra practice with combinations of ten and/or three addends. The task cards and game can be used in the school or homeschool setting.

Here are some ways that you might use the task cards in your classroom:
* Use in a math center for individual or partner work
* Use with your document camera for whole class review or to
focus attention at the beginning of a math lesson
* Use as a skills review rotation, individually or with partners, with
students moving to stations around the classroom to solve the
* Use for morning “bell ringers”
* Use as exit tickets
* Use as challenge work or for early finishers
