Essential Question: How do the Constitution and Bill of Rights impact the lives of Americans?
Essential Question: Why are the Constitution and Bill of Rights important to me?
This culminating project will relate the three branches of government under the Constitution to a familiar item of your choice. This is a metaphor project, thus a chosen item will be used as a metaphor for the 3 branches of government. A metaphor is language that directly compares seemingly unrelated subjects. The project allows students to work with all vocabulary needed to understand the government as outlined in the Constitution.

Lesson Includes:
Project Directions, Project Rubric, and checklist of Constitution terms that must included in the metaphor. The checklist allows students to plan out the pieces of the metaphor before creating the metaphor poster.
