Game 1: Three Corners
Played like the game 4 Corners, only with the three branches of government. There is a PowerPoint displayable version with answer key and a teacher calling card version with answers included. This game is played as a whole class. Great for a quick formative assessment that gets students up and moving!
Game 2: Folder Game
Create team sets of this folder game and have students work in teams to place each power on the game board in the branch of government where it belongs. Or print out the folder game pages for each student and use it as an individual project to assess students understanding of the Three Branches of Government.
Game 3: Team Challenge
Give each team three signs for the branches of government and have them hold up the correct branch of government as the teacher calls out each power. Or give each team a stack of the game cards and have them race to sort each power with its correct branch of government.
