Product Description
These three classroom-tested activities are super fun for learning long division. Your PowerPoint includes:
1. Long Division Chant
This chant not only helps students remember the steps, but it also helps them remember where to write the numbers. This is a critical difference that helps kids master the steps quickly.
2. The Giant Vinkus Game
Using personal whiteboards, students create and solve division problems cooperatively one digit at a time. Another great activity to develop students understanding of the placement of numbers using the traditional algorithm.
3. Clover and Chorus Line Review
Students pass a whiteboard and solve problems as part of a team. This game has a cooperative version (clover) and a competitive version (chorus line) for maximum flexibility. I usually start with the clover version and then do the chorus line version as the kids get more successful.
