Reading-Out-Loud Rules FREEBIE
One of the 90+systems in “The Systematized Classroom”!
What a challenge to help many students feel comfortable reading out loud in class—in fifth grade, reading the social studies book or a science article; in seventh grade, reading a class novel. It seems, the older the students are, the more they don’t want to read out loud.
Poor readers, more often than not, get further and further behind each year. Compounding the problem for the reluctant reader, peer pressure rears its ugly head ever more so in middle school. This resistance to read out loud fueled my establishing the forthcoming three reading rules. . . . . . .(and what a positive difference these rules have made ever since!) They’re offered to you, in hopes they continue to make a difference in many students’ lives and yours.
