Teaching Three Skeleton Key? I have included everything you need to teach this classic short story.
This packet offers twenty-five reading questions with a key, plus 10 activity cards which cover elements of character, conflict, suspense and foreshadowing. The questions and activities are straight forward, but also thought provoking and will work for varying levels of ability. These activities are designed to go with the original version of the short story.
A few suggested uses for this packet:
-Assign reading questions and activity cards to all students.
-Give students a choice between cards and reading questions.
-Break the class into small groups and distribute an even number of cards to each.
Groups will work together to complete the activity on their card and will present to
the rest of the class.
-Use the Google Apps option for the reading questions and pencil/paper for activity cards.
I have created a Google slides version of the reading questions for those who like going paperless. I have included a Getting Started with Google Apps/Google Classroom guide for those wanting to try it, but still have the print version to fall back on. This is a great way to show use of technology in your classroom. If you aren't interested in using Google, no worries, everything is printable!
Please note: One activity card has a QR code and requires Internet access. Everything else is pencil/paper friendly.
