This reading packet includes pre-reading, during-reading, and after reading questions. My students LOVE this short story of the horror genre around Halloween or anytime! There is a fun whole-class prediction activity, practice using vocabulary context clues, and effective reading strategies. During reading they take "Talking to the Text" notes in graphic organizer boxes. You can have student groups divide the boxes, so students only have to take notes on one box, and they can share notes after the story. The after questions are CLOSE & CRITICAL READING questions.YOU CAN GOOGLE THE STORY TITLE AND PRINT A PDF OF THE STORY TO USE.
