Three syllable word puzzles or Word Wall Cards include the following 52 illustrated words in color and black line art:
Africa, Alaska, alpaca, ambulance, antelope, antennas, Arkansas, astronaut, Australia, bananas, bicycle, blackberries, blueberries, butterfly, cantaloupe, centipede, computer, crocodile, daffodil, diatom, dinosaur, dragonfly, elephant, grasshopper, honeybee, icicles, India, instruments, Iowa, jellyfish, kangaroo, koala, ladybug, xylophone, microscope, numerals, octagon, octopus, parachute, parakeet, pollywog, potato, protractor, quotation, raspberries, sunflower, triangle, umbrella, unicorn, valentine, vehicles, violin.
I have found that even reluctant, discouraged learners are easily tempted to work with these cards. Lay out as few as necessary to capture the curiosity of the child, and help them match the parts and read the words. Two compatible students may work together, a student may work in a learning center, or an individual or small group may work with a tutor.
Two Syllable Picture Word Puzzles
Print these cards on 100# card stock. Cut them apart, then use them as Word Wall Cards. Or my favorite is to cut them on the thin lines between the syllables and use them as puzzles. You are welcome to print as many sets as you need for your classroom, homeschool, or tutoring students. You can put them on a book ring and cut the word off to glue on the back of each card to use it as a flashcard.
