Through the Eyes of Anne may be used as a literature or social studies unit. It is designed for grades 7-10 although the materials may be adjusted to make it suitable for alternate grades.
The Diary of Anne Frank should be read for students to gain a complete understanding of what life was like for Anne Frank.
Most of the information presented in this unit provides an overview not included in the book. Many times we never get a chance to study the Holocaust or World War II in detail.
This unit will help students understand a time in history that seemed so different and yet with worldwide conflicts, a teenager's world hasn't changed that much.
Included are the following titles: An Introduction, Brief But Happy, The Persecution Begins, The Plan Unfolds, The Annex Diagrams, The Annex Gallery, Our Time Schedule, Writing Activities, No Time To Run, The Legacy Continues, Anne's Tour of the World, Bibliography, Answer Keys.
