Product Description
This pottery wheel assignment is designed to build on my introduction to ceramics lesson in Intro to Art, as well as meet the needs of those with no experience if they did not take my Intro to Art course. This is designed for my Introduction to Sculpture and Ceramics high school class, but could be used in middle school art as well.

In this lesson students learn how to work on the pottery wheel, center, pull up walls, trim, and decorate. They create one mug, one bowl, and on shape of their choice. The mug and bowl are glazed with food safe glazes to look like a set, and the free form is raku fired.

-3 PowerPoints: Pottery Wheel How To, Trimming, and Raku Glazing PowerPoints
