Product Description
Do you need a an engaging articulation activity to mix up your speech sessions? Grab an ink pad and this resource! It is an activity that keeps students busy during practice. My students love making thumbprint art and yours will too! No Prep and Ink Friendly!.

This pack includes the following sounds: initial/final: p, b, m; final: n, t, d; initial/medial/final: k, g, f, v, l, s, z, ch, j, th, sh; pre-vocalic r; vocalic r (er, ar, or, air, ear, ire); rblends; lblends; sblends (separate mats for sp, st, sm, sn, sk, sl, sw, mixed). First practice, then make thumbprint flag! Perfect for flag day, 4th of July, or any other patriotic theme.

Please note: There are 12 target pictures on each page (2 of each, totaling 24 pictures).

Materials Needed: Ink pad or paint (red recommended), thumbprint flag pages. You can also use bingo dotters to paint the students’ thumbs (works just as good). I also keep wet wipes near by! I also recommend washable ink!

Optional Assembly: You can also place in a sheet protector or laminate to use with play dough.

Please note: The flag is not an accurate USA flag (the page was too small to include all of the stripes and stars).

To use: The student will practice the target word and then make a thumbprint on the ovals over the target word. The therapist will determine the number or trials per word. Only make thumbprints on the rows with pictures (lighter outlined ovals). The other rows with darker outlined ovals are the white stripes on the flag.

Variations:
Use play dough to smash to make the flag.
Use bingo chips to place over the flag.
Use bingo dotters.
