Thumbprint. Giraffe Spots: A Speech Therapy Art Activity
Make articulation art!
No Prep and Ink Friendly
(you can also use fingerprints)

This activity was designed to be a no prep craft activity to target articulation in an engaging way. It is an activity that keeps students busy during practice! Perfect for animal lesson plans!

⭐ Please note: This pack is included in my Articulation Thumbprints bundle #2 Do not buy this pack if you own the bundle.

This download contains following sounds: initial/final: p, b, m; final: n, t, d; initial/medial/final: k, g, f, v, l, s, z, ch, j, th, sh; pre-vocalic r; vocalic r (er, ar, or, air, ear, ire); rblends; lblends; sblends (separate mats for sp, st, sm, sn, sk, sl, sw, mixed). I also included an open-ended page. First practice, then make a thumbprint giraffe.

Materials Needed: Ink pad or paint (brown, yellow, or orange recommended), Thumbprint Giraffe Pages. Alternative to ink or paint: use bingo dotters (stamp the student’s thumb with the bingo dotter and then they can make a thumbprint on the page, works just as good as ink!).

Optional Assembly: You can also place in a sheet protector or laminate to use with play dough.

To use: The student will practice the word and then make a thumbprint on the oval over the word. The student will place their thumb on an ink pad and then stamp it in the giraffe. Use the blank template as a craft or reinforcer with any activity (or write your own target words on them).

Variations:
Use paint instead of ink
Use play dough to smash to make the giraffe.
Use bingo chips to place over the words.
Use bingo dotters or crayons
