Thurgood Marshall was the first African-American on the United States Supreme Court and was important to the Civil Rights Movement. This product provides information which can be used to study Marshall individually or can be included in content for Black History Month. This 32 page packet includes differentiated reading passages and activities and offers the teacher several graphic organizers to help students organize and understand content. Also included are: Content Information for the Teacher, 2 sets of Reading Passages and Cloze Procedures with Answers for differentiation purposes, Vocabulary Cards and Definitions, a KWL template, a template to identify characteristics, lined paper for writing, and 2 templates to help students brainstorm ideas for additional writing assignments. The packet was originally made for lower elementary but I've had feedback that it is also appropriate for higher level special education students.
