This is a single four page unit from Reading Through History documenting the life and achievements of the NAACP lawyer and Supreme Court justice Thurgood Marshall. In the biography, his early life is discussed, along with his career accomplishments as a lawyer, including Brown v. Board of Education, and his appointment to the United States Supreme Court. There is a one page biography followed by three pages of student activities. The student activities include multiple choice questions, a student response essay question, a guided reading activity, and vocabulary activities. There is enough material to cover around thirty minutes of class.
