Enjoy Thanksgiving and give students the practice they need at finding the vertices of quadratic functions.
Students are given a list of coordinate points to plot. Some of the points are disguised as quadratic functions. The students need to find the vertex of each quadratic function (standard and vertex form). Then the students connect the coordinate points (and vertices) only within the designated zones.
When they are done, they will have graphed a picture of their favorite football player. On the back of the jersey, have students draw the name and or number of their favorite football player.
Don't forget to download a copy of my custom-made FREE GRAPH PAPER.
Here are some tips:
All points will be on one grid line or another.
A completed picture has been provided to be used as a key.
You can download my custom made FREE GRAPH PAPER from my store.
I have also found that printing graph paper directly from themathworksheetsite.com
helps out, but any graph paper will do.
Remember to copy double-sided when necessary to save paper
