This activity gives students a chance to work with elimination using multiplication of one equation and both equations. Students are lead through the process of solving using elimination with multiplication and answering questions to obtain the solution to a system of equations. After finding the solution, the students are sent to the scratchpad graph to graph the system and compare the solutions to reinforce the connection between graphing and solving systems with elimination. I use this activity as a whole class activity. We work through each part together. I use the student presentation feature on the teacher software and pull up student answers and graphs to allow students to become the presenters. This could be used as a review, or students could work at their own pace to answer the question since it is self checking. A grade can be obtained through the software.
