Tic-Tac-Letters is a fun letter recognition game that students will play with a partner.

This resource includes 26 Tic-Tac-Toe type games to practice uppercase and lowercase letters. A color version and a black and white version are included.

This activity is easy to prep. Just print the game mat and corresponding letter cards. You can laminate the game mat or slide it in a page protector. Store the game mat and corresponding letter cards in a large zip-top bag or in a page protector.

One player will be the uppercase cards and the other player will be the lowercase cards. Students will play the game using the rules of traditional Tic-Tac-Toe. The first player to place their cards three in a row is the winner. Students can play the game again and switch cards.

Tip: To help students decide which player goes first, supply students with a dot cube. Have each student roll the dot cube. The player that rolls the bigger number goes first.
