Students fill out the boxes with random numbers (or roll a die three times) to create two three-digit numbers. One student will attempt to solve the addition problem. If they are successful, they will make an x or o on that space and it belongs to them. If the answer is incorrect, students must erase their work and lose their turn.
This game is a great resource to practice adding three digit numbers. The tic-tac-toe aspects forces students to use critical thinking skills, as well. I put these game board in plastic sleeves and let students use dry erase markers, but laminating them would be a great option, too.
