This tic-tac-toe is used as a fun and interesting way for kids to think about books. "More fun then a book report!" is what a third grader told me last year. After hearing the presentations it also generated interest in so many books that we started an " I want to read folder." The middle block is that we do in class, however you can change this to fit your needs and/or your classroom needs. The projects are designed to need minimal "extras" to create them and are engaging and accessible for all levels.
This project includes a letter to the parent and the tic-tac-toe in both English and Spanish. It also comes with the assessment sheet for scoring during the presentations and criteria cards to help guide the parents and students.
The projects can be modified both up or down to accommodate lower grade levels, as well as GATE/ TAG programs.
Hope you enjoy it
