This is a set of 5 reading logs that students use to responding to their nightly reading each week. Students are required to complete 3 activities for the week with this log. They need to choose 3 that make tic-tac-toe, which gives them choice in how they wish to respond to the text. Each reading log is different with activities that involve writing, reading with someone, art, and music. Some activities will result in a product to be turned in; for the other activities there is a space for parents to initial signifying that their child completed the work.
In my classroom, I send home a reading log on Monday that is due on Friday. Since there are 5 different reading logs, students are constantly responding to their reading in different ways.
