This is a great game for developing strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, number identification and concepts of more & less. It’s a fun mix of two classic games: “Tic-Tac-Toe” and “Top it” (also known as “War”).
The goal of the game is the same as that of “Tic-Tac-Toe.” Be the first to get three of your marks (Xs or Os) in a row. You can do this horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
However, in “Tac-Tac-Top it,” you can cover (or top) your opponent’s marks with your own to help yourself get three in a row.
In addition to the X & O symbols, your game cards also have numbers!
Pay close attention to these numbers when playing your game cards on the game board. You can cover any of your opponent’s cards on the game board if your card shows a greater number than your opponent’s card.
For example, if your opponent plays an “O” card with a #3 on it, you could cover it up with your “X” card showing a #4.
Can you get three in a row?
Think carefully, develop a strategy, plan ahead and play wisely!
This download also includes another fun mash-up game: Rock-Paper-Scissors vs. Tic-Tac-Toe!
A great addition to your classroom's collection of learning games. Perfect for math centers, partner work or as a take-home game!
