Think of this as a WARM-up for COLD days.
This is just an attempt to keep student math brains alive and active.
I created this activity as an assignment for the unplanned snow days.
It includes a set of nine activities from which students can choose. The goal is to complete one activity on each snow day. With each new snow day, they choose another activity. If students choose activities that create a line (tic-tac-toe) they will get extra credit.
You can determine what reward you will assign to this. I will probably just give credit for doing it. The goal is simply to keep them working with the material that we've covered in class. AND the result will be students that don't need a review (they would have to review to complete the work) and perhaps, a quiz or warm-up to use with your class when the snow melts and school days return to normal.
