Tick Tock Beat The Clock
Tick Tock Beat The Clock is a math board game that works with time. This is a great game that focuses on teaching and reinforcing what students have learned about telling time. It can be played easily as a math center while the teacher might be working with a different small group. This game includes *96 questions, so the game can be played many times without students ever repeating questions. There are four categories of questions and 24 questions for each category:
Blue Questions: Are easier they ask fact type of questions; Am or Pm, Analog or digital, how many minutes in an hour…
Yellow Questions: Students are asked to make a time on a clock, they are given the digital time and have to create the analog time (All times are to 5 minute increments)
Green Questions: Show an analog clock and the students have to write the digital time (All times are to 5 minute increments)
Red Questions: These are harder and above 2nd grade curriculum. Some are word problems with lapsed time; others might ask which is longer 5 seconds or 3 minutes.
Students move around the board and try to be the first to the finish star! There are answer keys for students to check their partner/opponents work.
