The purpose of this activity is to differentiate learning for individuals.
There are 7 different skills being addressed in this lesson. Each task contains parts A,B, and C. (3-4 problems within each letter)
Task 1: Integer Operations (no calculators)
Task 2: Combining Like Terms
Task 3: One-Step Equations
Task 4: Two-Step Equations
Task 5: Multi-Step Equations
Task 6: Equations with Variables on Both Sides
Task 7: One, Infinite, or No Solution
1. All students will start at Task 1A. They will answer all questions and will then check their answers. If all questions are correct, then they move down to Task 2A. The goal is always to move down.
2. If the students get any questions wrong then they must move horizontally until all problems are answered correctly. Once the task is completed with 100% accuracy, then they will move down and all of the way to the left.
3. Follow the arrows on the sheet for instructions in where to go once a task is completed.
