This zip folder comes with two extensive powerpoints that can be used with students to practice. These powerpoints are especially useful if you have whiteboards in the class. Students are able to take basic notes as you break down the rules and do extensive practice first with agudas, then with llanas, and finally practice with esdrújulas sobreesdrújulas. On day two, students are able to practice with all of them, deciding which word is what and whether or not it has a tilde. These powerpoints can be used for at least 2-5 days, depending on how much practice or review students need. They work well with whiteboards because they have many words and students must decide whether or not they have a tilde, they can hold up their whiteboard and then you can show them the responses on the next slides. Optionally if you do not have whiteboards for each student, students can also practice writing their answers on paper and sharing with their partner before you reveal the correct responses. The powerpoints break down the rules of how to identify whether or not a word has a tilde added to it. These powerpoints are especially useful for heritage speakers who know how to speak spanish but have little experience with writing and have never used accent marks before. It teaches them what they are, where they are placed, what agudas, llanas, esdrújulas and sobreesdrújulas are.
