Tile It! Letter Tile Spelling - Music Notation Dynamics Tempo

Spelling with letter tiles is fun! This is a great music center activity with the purpose of practicing the correct names and spellings of music notation, dynamics and tempo words. This set of music terms and notation cards can be used with plastic letter tiles commonly found in elementary classrooms. A printable set of letter tiles is included. Print on cardstock, laminate and cut for an inexpensive way to implement these music centers.

For a convenient way to store the music center materials, set up a file folder with the center title and task card (included) on the front, then attach an envelope to the back of the folder to hold the letter tiles. Laminate the entire folder, then place cards and letter tiles in their place.

Included terms:

quarter note, eighth note, half note, whole note, sixteenth note (single), sixteenth notes (beamed), eighth notes (beamed), eighth rest, quarter rest, half rest, whole rest, sixteenth rest, triplet, forte, piano, mezzo piano, mezzo forte, pianissimo, fortissimo, staff, treble clef, largo, andante, allegro, presto, notation, tempo, dynamics.
