This Time Capsule project is an end of the year assignment for students to complete. Students will be selecting and bringing in three items that symbolize important events, people, or places in their lives this year. After identifying which items they will bring in, students will then write essays that show why each item is important to them for this year.

Differentiated versions of the writing portion are included: 5 paragraphs, 3 paragraphs, or 1 paragraph. This allows you to have every student contribute to both the project and writing component of this assignment.

A teacher's guide and teacher's step-by-step planner makes it easy for you to assign, complete, and grade this project. Students go from bringing in items, to writing an essay, and ultimately presenting their work.
