This bundle encourages students to investigate how longitude can tell us what time it is. Students are introduced to the concept of Earth rotating 15 degrees/hour. This presentation conceptually and mathematically explains why every time zone is 15 degrees wide, and why every 15 degrees of longitude is equal to one hour. An easy acronym is utilized to help students remember that time will get earlier as your travel to the west, and time will get later as your travel to the east. Examples are provided to allow students to practice with time and longitude.
