In the time management lesson I do with my students, I have the students work in pairs or small groups to sort 23 different “activities” – ways I see students spend their time when the teacher has assigned independent work into three categories: “Using Your Time Wisely”, “Depends”, and “Wasting Your Time”. Some have clear categories they fit in and others are up for discussion.
Once sorted, we discuss the consequences of good vs. bad time management and then students complete a short personal reflection on their own time management habits.
