Behavior Reflection Sheet | Behavior Management | Time Out Reflection Tool

I use this sheet as part of my behavior plan during times when students struggle with self-control. Perfect for when students argue with each other, come back from recess upset about an issue and can’t quite move on, or when someone just is feeling overwhelmed.

Students complete the sheet when they are struggling, but before they have lost control. It helps them to reflect on why they are upset and how to make better choices. It was intentionally designed to be incredibly simple. Students identify how they’re feeling, what caused them to feel that way, and then how they’re going to respond in a positive way.

Two versions of the form are included – one for younger students with space to draw and one for older students with lines for writing.

About this resource, teachers have said:

“Thanks for sharing these! They will be the perfect tool to help kids stop and reflect upon their choices in order to improve for the future. I appreciate the different options as well!”

“These reflection sheets are just what I needed to help some of my students this year! Thanks so much!”

“Thank you! This will be perfect for getting to the bottom of some behaviors in a calm and collected way!”
