In order to cover the content efficiently and effectively, this package guides students through the recently redesigned Advanced Placement United States History curriculum. If you are not ready to implement the new Version 2.0 guided reading format, you can use the popular original version of my guided reading program from 2008 to 2013. Includes student edition and answer key.

03 American Pageant Quizzes This quiz bank includes (formative assessments) created to give students an opportunity to showcase their ability to think analytically and historically. Each quiz is created for timed environment of 7-10 minutes providing students with the opportunity to apply detailed and specific knowledge (such as names, chronology, facts, and events) to broader historical understandings.

04 American Pageant Chapter Notes: Printable and editable chapter outline notes from the American Pageant to help students review what they have read for chapters aligned with Time Period # 1

05 Multiple Choice Quick Quiz : This collection of multiple questions are designed to assess student understanding of course content. At the conclusion of every module I administered one of these Multiple Choice Quick Quizzes as a homework assignment, usually the night before students sit for a 12 minute SAQ quiz.

06 Time Period #1 Test Bank: This pool of standard and stimulus based multiple choice questions is designed for teachers looking to create new exams for their AP program or supplement an existing exam database.

07 Take Home Test : This take home test is designed to give students a low stakes opportunity to review course content. It the past students have been encouraged to work on assigned THT's as a group to facilitate discussion. This test is made up of 100 questions (50 identifications and 50 multiple choice) covering 1492 to 1783. An answer key is provided.

08 SAQ and LEQ Prompts :This resource contains writing prompts [13 short answer questions 6 long essay questions] aligned with the Advanced Placement United States History curriculum. Original SAQ’s as well as prompts aggregated from a variety of online sources are organized into a single folder for your exploration of Time Period #1.

09 The DBQ Project :This resource contains a document reader of primary and secondary source documents as well as an original DBQ essay designed to teach document analysis for Time Period #1
