This product contains a chart for students to track their time from 4:00 in the afternoon until 11:00 at night, three levels of activity sheets for turning their data into a graph, and a reflection sheet to help students analyze how they are using their time. The three levels of the activity sheet offer different levels of scaffolding to complete the same task.
When I have individual students who are not getting their homework done or are sleeping in class, I use this as a visual to help students see where they could restructure their time to get necessary activities completed. I have also used this information with entire classes as part of a Math mini-lesson. The students use the attached sheet to turn their information into different types of graphs, which can be presented to the class. I have also had students present them to their parents at meetings about student progress. It is very powerful and helps students take ownership and responsibility for their situation.
